Inexpensive Alternative Housing, Meals & Transportation for CCDA Conference ’08 in Miami !

Intro: Would inexpensive housing, meals and transportation for the CCDA Conference make a difference in whether or not you can attend this year? If you're ready to bring your sleeping bag and “rough it” a bit in a communal housing arrangement, sign up for our Alternative Housing/Meals Package.

A “Package Deal” Through a partnership with DOOR-Miami* and their local church partners, we will be able to provide housing in a local church, “on the floor”.

Here’s what the Alternative Housing “package” will include

•  a space on the floor for you and your sleeping bag

•  a simple breakfast and a sack lunch. (Vegetarians welcome)

          •  a week long public transportation pass to use for public transportation to and from the

         main conference venues.

In addition, for those interested after the conference, we’ll have time for late night discussions and reflection on what you are learning and maybe a card game or two.

Cost: You’ll get all of this for only $150!

IMPORTANT – Please read the following details carefully –  

• This housing option is for those who are looking for a 'youth hostel' – type experience. The building is clean and safe but not fancy by any means.
• Anyone under eighteen years old MUST be accompanied by a superving adult.
• There will be a few mattresses for “older backs” but otherwise, participants should bring only sleeping bags and at most camping mats.
• Rooms will be divided by gender and modest sleepwear (pajamas) should be worn. (One room may be set aside for families if requested.)
• If you snore so loud that you'll wake the whole neighborhood, you should consider whether this type of housing arrangement is best for you and those around you. Or kindly bring breathing strips.

• Since this housing is being offered over a weekend, participants staying past Saturday will need to pack up, clean up and head out Sunday morning to either attend Conference worship or worship with the local church.
• SPACE IS LIMITED

• After you sign up on the CCDAMiami08 website, you’ll receive confirmation of your reservation as soon as possible.
• However your space won't be confirmed until you have paid in advance by mailing DOOR your check.
• Cancellations can only be accepted (and refunds made) if made one week prior to the conference.
• Arrangements for housing will be handled directly with DOOR Miami staff
• Once space is confirmed, you'll be sent directions to the housing location from Miami International Airport and the transportation pass in the mail to use upon arrival.
